Morocco is the north African country that feels the closest to my home land, France.
Moroccans are welcoming and creative. I met many moroccans who helped get out of trouble whereas in the desert or on the shores, when my suv was blocked et sealed to the floor on a beach as the tide was coming up.
One piece of advice still: should you hear "bienvenue mon ami" (french for "welcome my friend") from a shopkeeper in a souk, inviting you to enjoy the "plaisir des yeux" (french for eye pleasure), beware: they will try to talk you into buying at three times the actual price any kind of stuff. Do not hesitate to smile them into away as they have no other interest in you than your wallet.
